Thirteen college juniors and seniors are set to begin their 10-week internships today with local businesses, thanks to the Go Greenville Internship Program.

The goal of the internship, now in its sixth year, is to help the interns, all of whom graduated from a Washington County high school, gain real-world experience.

The 13 interns participating in this year’s program include Angelica Richards, Charlliyea Smith, Denzel Washington, Donnika Williams, Issac Ward, Jada Sutton, Kajarius White, Kayla Gines, Semoria Doss, The’Andrea Brown, Tierra Spiller, Zacarion Goodman and Zari Zanders.They will be working with 11 host businesses through Aug. 4.
