Reliable Equipment, LLC, owner and manager Gerald Bolden said the company’s more visible location along U.S. Hwy. 51 is already drawing in scores of customers through the doors of its new location at 250 U.S. Hwy. 51 North in Hernando.
The Kubota dealership recently opened up operations in a brand new facility at the crossroads of the nation’s newest super highway corridor at I-69, Interstate 55 and Hwy. 51, near Magnolia Lighting and within a sprawling warehouse and retail/commercial district.
There are also plans for a restaurant going in nearby, according to Bolden.
“We’re definitely enjoying the new location,” said Bolden. “We’ve been here two months and had people come in off the interstate who didn’t even know we are in Hernando.”
For many years, Reliable Equipment operated out of a nearly 70-year-old building two miles down the road, near the Hernando town square.
“With our other location two miles down the road, I believe there is 40 percent more traffic here at the new location,” Bolden said of the city’s newest crossroads.
Reliable Equipment also has a larger footprint, with room to grow and expand.
“It’s actually twice as big as the other one,” added Bolden. “We have four and a half acres up here. It gives us more room to grow in more ways than one.”
Bolden said the business also has more storage area and a large service bay out back.
“The focus is now on our 170-horsepower tractor,” Bolden said. “Kubota is now going into the row crop market,” added Bolden.
The business is increasing its showroom floor to include a line of home and garden implements such as leaf blowers and other equipment.
