The Tupelo Farmers’ Depot has used the past two weekends as a soft opening, but the market officially kicks off its season Saturday at 6 a.m.

“We’ve had early offerings – spring peas, broccoli, lettuce, new potatoes, a few strawberries and canned goods and we’ve had some beautiful plants and flower arrangements,” said Craig Helmuth, program manager for Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association, which operates the market. “We’re seeing some new vendors this year, so we’re excited about that.”
